DAY 1 - 3: LINYANTI EBONY, BOTSWANA

Even amongst the most discerning of travellers, the Linyanti Channel is fast becoming Botswana’s most sought-after wildlife haven. Nestled between the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park, Linyanti is a rich yet diverse ecosystem that is fed by a permanent river flow. At the core of this wildlife haven is Linyanti Ebony, this intimate camp is made up of just four tents making it perfect for a more private and family oriented safari lodge experience. A unique place where you can embrace the “digital detox” and slip into the rhythm of an authentic and game-filled safari experience.
Built on raised decking overlooking the Linyanti Marsh, Linyanti Ebony is an intimate tented camp granting panoramic views of its exquisite natural setting. The camp’s mindful design offers an authentic, eco-conscious base from which to explore this significant wilderness. The main area encompasses an expansive lounge and dining area, sparkling plunge pool, cosy fire circle and boma; the perfect place to strengthen family ties on your Chobe safari. The spacious two-bedroom family tent has a self-contained lounge area and private deck looking out over the wetlands plus, a spacious en-suite bathroom that features a shower and roll-top bath. Larger family groups or parties of friends travelling together can reserve Linyanti Ebony exclusively with a minimum of eight people.
Linyanti Ebony is home to some fantastic wildlife including a healthy population of predators such as lion, wild dog and several more elusive species delighting our guests year-round. Your memorable Chobe family safaris characterised by serene, sweeping scenes awaits. Evening time, our guests are treated to a concert of honking hippos and chirruping frogs, the perfect backing track to an al-fresco meal served beneath a star-studded night sky. Explore the pristine riverine ecosystem of a Chobe safari on foot or cruise through the crystal-clear waterways on an expertly guided mokoro trip, marvelling at the bird and aquatic life as you go.

DAY 4 - 6: THORNTREE RIVER LODGE, ZAMBIA

Beautifully designed Thorntree River Lodge graces the banks of Zambia’s glorious Zambezi River in Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park. Find perfect respite after a day of activities by relaxing in the infinity pool that seamlessly blends into the river horizon. Thorntree River Lodge celebrates the spirit of community. DAY 6 - 9: SOMALISA ACACIA, ZIMBABWE

Trees represent rooting and connection, which is one of the reasons why our family-friendly camps are named after our favourite African trees. The acacia tree is one of the richest symbols of Africa, its silhouette in the vivid orange and hues of pinks, harmonise with the tranquil sounds of the hornbill in the distance to create truly serene moments to share with loved ones.
Somalisa Acacia is the perfect Hwange safari lodge experience for families with younger children or, for smaller private groups of safari-goers. This family safari camp, located slightly to the west of sister camp Somalisa sits on the edge of a seasonal floodplain in Hwange National Park. Somalisa Acacia is tucked away beneath the dappled shade of an Acacia grove. A place where meeting an elephant in your backyard is not at all a fanciful notion.
Especially if your backyard happens to be the largest natural reserve in Zimbabwe, famous for its rich diversity of wildlife. In addition to the large families of elephants that frequently roll across the golden plains of Hwange to visit the camp’s elephant pool, keep a lookout for swift cheetah, dazzling zebra, honking hippos and the graceful giraffe that may saunter into view.

DAY 9 - 12: BUMI HILLS SAFARI LODGE, ZIMBABWE

Set on a range of remote hills in one of Zimbabwe’s finest wilderness locations, Bumi Hills Safari Lodge is utterly captivating.
